Hyphessobrycon compressus (Meek, 1904)

Holotype: FMNH: 4641. Paratypes: BMNH 1905.12.6.4-5 (2); FMNH 4642 (17), 4662 (11) 105930 [ex FMNH 4642] (2); MCZ 29911 [ex IU 11126] (2); USNM 55728 [ex FMNH] (2).

Type locality: Río Papaloapam basin at El Hule, Oaxaca, Mexico.
