Hemigrammocharax rubensteini Jerep & Vari, 2013

  • Holotype: CU 89502.
  • Paratypes: AMNH 255311 (2); CU 97248 (8), 89498 (6), 89499 (2), 89500 (4), 89501 (6), 97249 (1); USNM 405306 (2).

Type locality: Republic of the Congo, Cuvette-Ouest, Likouala River Drainage, Lékoli River at Mboko dock, Odzala National Park, 0°37'3"N, 14°54'27"E [1].

Etymology: The species name rubensteini is in recognition of David Rubenstein who generously funded the Rubenstein Fellowships of the Encyclopedia of Life at the National Museum of Natural History.
