Type locality: Brazil, Pará, Ilha do Marajó scrubby woods to north of Soure airport, 0°40' S., 48°32' W. surrounded by grassy swamp.
Holotype: MNRJ. male ♂. 19.VII.1937. leg. K.S. Brown.
