- Holotype: MNHN-RA-1938.125 (formerly M.270), ♂, collected by R. Bourret between 1930–1931.
- Type locality: “Chapa, province de Laokay (Tonkin), l’Indochine française, à l’altitude moyenne de 1.600m”.
