Haplochromis cassius Greenwood & Barel, 1978

Holotype: BMNH 1977.1.10.49. [Paratypes: BMNH 1977.1.10.50 (1), 1977.1.10.51 (1), 1977.1.10.52-53 (2)].

Type locality: Southern part of the Mwanza Gulf off Busissi, Lake Victoria [Victoria Nyanza], Tanzania, depth 2 meters.
