- Type locality: AUSTRALIA: NSW, Clyde Mt. wet schlerophill, Taylor, Brooks c. 2450 ft, leaf mould.
- Holotype: ANIC, ♂, Berlesate N° 33, 4.XI.1967, leg. Bornemissza.
- Etymology: The species takes its name from the long fl agellum of the aedeagus similar to a whip.
