• Holotype: ZSM 149/2022 (field number ZCMV 13705), adult ♂, collected by M. Vences, S. Rakotomanga, S. Rasamison and P. Galán on 17–18 November 2022.
• Type locality: “Andasibe, VOI (VOIMMA) forest, central eastern Madagascar, approximate coordinates -18.9277, 48.4186, ca. 950 m above sea level”.
