- Holotype: ZMA 7171A, adult ♂, collected by Rose M.A. Blommers-Schlösser and her husband on 30 March 1972.
- Type locality: “relict forest in the gulleys of the Tampoketsa [d'Ankazobe]”, alt. 1600 m, Analamanga Region, Madagascar.
