- Lectotype: BMNH 1947.2.27.65, ♀, collected by Cowan. [designated by Blommers-Schlösser (1979: 45)]
- Type locality: “Ankafana, Betsileo” and “East Betsileo”, restricted by lectotype designation to “Ankafana, Betsileo”, Madagascar, by Blommers-Schlösser (1979: 45).
- Paralectotype: BMNH 1947.2.27.64, ♀, same data as for the lectotype.
