Grypotyphlops acutus (Duméril & Bibron, 1844)

Holotype: "collections zoologiques reunies au fort Pitt, a Chatham" [lost fide Hahn (1980: 49)]

Neotype: UF 19902. [designated by Wallach (1994: 214)]

Type locality: “inconnue”, redesigned by neotype designation to “Kanheri Caves at the base of the Kanheri Hills, Kanheri National Park, 5 mi. E Borivli and ca. 20 mi. NNE Bombay, north-central Salsette Island, western Maharashtra State, west-central India, elevation ca. 180m, 19°14'N, 72°51'E”, by Wallach (1994: 214).
