- Lectotype: WAM R94466, adult ♂, collected by G. Wardell-Johnson and J.D. Roberts on 15 November 1985. [designated by Roberts, Wardell-Johnson & Barendse (1990: 433)]
- Type locality: “a few sites in the Witchcliffe and Karridale areas”, restricted by lectotype designation to “Bruce Road, 11.5 km S of Witchcliffer W. A. (115°10′ E 34°03′ S)”, Western Australia, by Roberts, Wardell-Johnson & Barendse (1990: 433).
