- Holotype: BNHS 4157, mature ♀, collected by Varad Giri, Sameer Kehimkar, Ishan Agarwal and Vithoba Hegade in June 2002.
- Type locality: “approximately 3 km East of Amboli, Sindhudurg District, Maharashtra, India,... under a rock in an open patch of grassland with semievergreen forest. The locality is situated in the Western Ghats at approximately 850 m above sea level”.
