Type locality: India, Arunachal Pradesh, Papum Pare district, Dikrong River at Doimukh (Brahmaputra basin), 27°08'19"N, 93°44'51"E [1].
Etymology: The specific epithet is derived from the Latin bi (= two), and rostrum (rostris) (= beak or bill), referring to the two beaklike projections of the proboscis.
