• Note: this name was placed under Faramea multiflora A.Rich. ex DC. by Taylor (1999a: 295) and Delprete & Cortés-B. (2015) or under F. oblongifolia Standl. by Taylor (1999b) and Mendoza et al. (2004), but was reinstated by Taylor & Jardim (2020).
• Type: R.W. Pearce [339] (in flower; Holotype: K [​K000173556^{(CRIA, GBIF, JSTOR, REFLORA)}]; Isotype: F [​V0069104F (591632)^{(CRIA, GBIF, JSTOR)}]).
• Type locality: Ecuador. Eastern Andes, Cuenca, alt. 1,500–1,800 m.
