- Holotype: BNHS 5989, adult ♂, collected by C.R. Naik and K.S. Seshadri on 27 June 2015.
- Type locality: “fallow paddy fields inundated with water in Sanikatta village, Kumta Taluk, Uttara Kannada District”, Karnataka, India.
- Paratypes (5): BNHS 5988 and BNHS 5990, both adult ♂, same data as holotype; BNHS 5985 and BNHS 5986, both adult ♂, and BNHS 5987, adult ♀, collected from “Kodanga, Herga Village, Manipal Taluk, Udupi District, Karnataka” by R. Singhal and K.S. Seshadri on 26 June 2015.
