Type locality: Papua New Guinea: Morobe Prov. [border region to Gulf Prov.], Lakekamu basin, Tekadu – Kakaro, Ivimka Riv. Stat., ridge trail, 150 m.
Holotype: ZSM, ♂, 4.III.1998, leg. A.Riedel.
Etymology: This epithet refers to the Lakekamu basin, the type locality.
