Type locality: “Euglossina da; Hiléia Baiana; REBIO C. Veado; 18289 – 52751 // Pinheiros ES; BRASIL 09/02/2010; A. Nemésio”.
Etymology: The specific epithet is based on the Greek word adiastolos, meaning “confused” or “not separated”, as a reference to the confusion between this species and Euglossa augaspis.
