Type locality: Duck River below dam at TN Hwy 64/US Hwy 231 in Shelbyville, Bedford County, Tennessee.[1]
Etymology: The species epithet honors President Barack Obama, the 44th President of the United States of America, and his environmental leadership and commitment during challenging economic times in the areas of clean energy, energy efficiency, environmental protection and humanitarian efforts globally, and especially for the people of the United States.
