Erythrolamprus poecilogyrus (Wied-Neuwied, 1824) [conserved name]

  • Syntypes (5): AMNH R–3593-94, both ♂, and ZMH 4429-31, collected by Prince Alexander Philippe Maximilian zu Wied-Neuwied between 26 November–19 December 1815.
  • Type locality: “Brasilien”, restricted to “von Barra de Jucú, unweit des Flusses Espirito Santo” by Wied-Neuwied (1825: 376).
  • Placed on the Official List of Specific Names in Zoology by Opinion 1832 (1996: 72).
