Erromyzon compactus Kottelat, 2004

  • Holotype (unique): ZRC 49636.

Type locality: 4 kilometers upriver of Ba Che city, 21°16'34"N, 107°14'54"E, Ba Che River, Quang Ninh Province, Vietnam. [1]

Etymology: The specific epithet is the Latin word compactus (= joined, fastened together, united), but is used here for the compact appearence of the body.
