- Holotype: CAS 96204, adult ♂, collected by Richard and Erica Clark on 31 July 1968.
- Type locality: “5-10 miles east-northeast of Nimla, along olf Kabul-Jalalabad road, aproximately 10 miles southwest of Balabagh, Afghanistan [34°19-21′ N. 70°10-15′E], at an elevation of about 3,500 feet”.
