Epigonus lifouensis Okamoto & Motomura, 2013

  • Holotype: MNHN 2000-0018.
  • Paratype: MNHN 2003-1826.

Type locality: Western South Pacific, south of Lifou Island, Loyalty Islands, New Caledonia, 575 m depth, 21°40'59"S, 167°31'59"E [1].

Etymology: The specific name lifouensis refers to the locality of the type specimens.
