Holotype: BMNH 1947.1.1.70, juvenile ♂, collected by M.W.F. Tweedie on April 1940.

Type locality: “Kuala Tahan, River Tembeling, Pahang, between 500 and 1,000 feet altitude, and over 70 miles from the east coast of the Malay Peninsula”.
