- Holotype: BMNH 1946.8.29 (formerly V25a), adult indet., presented by Thomas Bell.
- Type locality: not stated, designated as “Mexico” by Boulenger (1885: 275), restricted to “Mojarachic, Chihuahua” by Smith & Taylor (1950: 327), and subsequently to “Huachuca Mountains, Arizona” by Schmidt (1953: 139).
