- Holotype: UTA A-18194 (field no. JAC 11682), adult ♀, collected by J.A. Campbell on 29 December 1985.
- Type locality: “7.8 km WSW Puerto Santo Tomás, 375 m, northeastern slope Montañas del Mico, Departamento de Izabal, Guatemala,. . . . This locality is located on the eastern slopes of the Montañas del Mico at about 15°41′ N, 88°40′ W. The town of Santo Tomás is called Puerto Santo Tomás de Castilla or Puerto Matías de Gálvez on some maps”.
