Type locality: Peru, [Junín], Río Colorado, 2500 feet.

Holotype BMNH. Holotype male by monotypy (Lamas, 2017)

Note: Becker (2013: 60–61) synonymized Pericopis mosera Druce and P. sylvia Druce under P. thyridina Butler. This has been disagreed by Vincent & Laguerre, 2014, and by Lamas, 2017.
