- Type locality: BORNEO: Sabah, Danum Valley, Borneo Rainforest Lodge, Flight interception trap.
- Holotype: Guillaume de Rougemont private collection, ♂, 14-16.II.2007, G. de Rougemont leg.
- Etymology: The name of the new species, meaning "snake head" refers to the shape of the distal bulb of the spermatheca.
