- Holotype: MNHN 1877-1484b, adult ♀, skin and skull, collected by Laglaize in April 1877.
- Type locality: “les monts Arfak [=Arfak Mtns]”, Manokwari Division, Vogelkop Pensinula, Irian Jaya, Indonesia.
