Type locality: Khar Gardens, 3 km W, down the Fort Munro hill, District Dera Ghazi Khan, 25 km W Dera Ghazi Khan city, 25° 53’ N, 70° 3’ E, elevation 1800 m (coordinates in original description are wrong; the correct ones are 29° 55′ 33″ N, 69° 59′ 0″ E).
Holotype: BMNH 1990.4
Etymology: The species is named after the name of the type locality.
