• Holotype: SAM H-5082, collected by T. Samaai and C. Lawrence on 16 October 2003.
• Type locality: “Mzimayi reef, Sizela, south of Durban, east coast of South Africa, 30° 37 137' S, 31° 16 112' E, 29 m”.
