  • Lectotype: MHNN 2291.1, ♂, collected by J.J. Tschudi between 1838–1842. [designated by Ortiz (1989: 50)]
  • Type locality: not stated; cited as “Hacienda »Acaray«, 2 Leguas von Huacho, in der Küstenregion” in Tschudi (1845: 37).
  • Paralectotypes (2): MHNN 2291.2, ♀, and NHMW 18905, ♀, same data as lectotype.
