- Holotype: UMMZ 101376, adult ♀, collected by Frank Harrison, date unknown.
- Type locality: “10 miles northwest of Gómez Farías on the trail to La loya de Salas, Tamaulipas, Mexico, at an altitude of about 5300 ft., in a forested flat”.
