Congoglanis howesi Vari, Ferraris & Skelton, 2012
Type locality: Angola, Lunda Norte, Kasai River basin, Luachimo River, Luachimo rapids, 7°21'S, 20°50'E [1], in residual pools downstream of dam.
Etymology: The species name howesi, is in honor of Gordon J. Howes, formerly of the Natural History Museum, London, in recognition of his many contributions to ichthyology.
