- Holotype: USNM 257805, adult ♂, collected by Mercedes S. Foster on 14 November 1979.
- Type locality: “Approximately 0.25 km E road to San Onofre, at a point 3.3 km by road N of the road from Cochabamba to Villa Tunari, at a point 97.5 km from Cochabamba, Chapare Province, Department of Cochabamba, Bolivia, elevation approximately 1693 m”.
