- Type locality: AUSTRALIA: NSW, Brown Mt., c. 3000 ft, wet schlero, rotten log, Berlesate.
- Holotype: ANIC, ♂, N° 8, 5.I.1967, coll. R.W. Taylor.
- Etymology: The name of the species refers to the almost circular interval of the apex of the aedeagus, in ventral view.
