Chondrostoma orientale Bianco & Bănărescu, 1982

  • Holotype: IZA 8170.
  • Paratypes: ANSP 150985 (2); ISBB uncat. (10); IZA 7833 (orig. 75, ? now 19); FMNH 94519 (2); NMC 82-365 (6); USNM 227934 (1).

Type locality: Pulwar River near Persepolis, Iran.

Etymology: From orientale (= eastern), being the easternmost member of the genus.
