- Type locality: CHINA: Yunnan prov., Dali env., Cang Shan Mts. E slope of Zhonghe Shan Mt., 25°41.2'N, 100°07.9'E, 2650 m.
- Holotype: Volker Assing private collection, ♂, 13.VI.2007, J. Hájek & J. Růžička leg.
- Etymology: The name (Latin, adjective) refers to the distinctive shape of the male tergite VIII.
