Chiloglanis occidentalis Pellegrin, 1933

  • Syntypes: MNHN 1932-0300 (1) Man; NMBA 4252 (1) Douékoué.

Type locality: Man [1], and Douékoué [2], Ivory Coast.

Etymology: The specific epithet occidentalis is the Latin word for west, it refers to the more western distribution of this species, as in the time of Pellegrin members of this genus were known mainly from eastern parts of Africa.
