Holotype: AUM 58007. Paratypes: AUM 47649 (4); WAM P.27836-006 (26).

Type locality: Papua New Guinea, East Sepik Province, on Maprik-Pagwi road, upper Kuins Creek, 03.87436°S, 143.02377°E.[1]

Etymology: The species is named after Pagwi village, where the types were collected.
