- Holotype: KU 162263, adult ♂, collected by William E. Duellman and John E. Simmons on 20 February 1975.
- Type locality: “Tutumbaro, Río Piene, 1840 m, Departmento Ayacucho, Peru (73°55′W, 12°42′S)”.
