Holotype: HUMZ 202085. Paratypes: 34 specimens.

Type locality: Hokkaido, Japan: 44°00.09′N, 145°14.01′E, the Nemuro Straits, about 2.8 km distant from Rausu fishing port, Pacific coast of Shiretoko Peninsula,356 m depth, collected by deep-sea water pump.

Etymology: The name rausuensis is in reference to the type locality, Rausu, a town on the Pacific coast of the Shiretoko Peninsula, Hokkaido, Japan.
