  • Paratypes: CAS-SU 22371 (2).

Type locality: Southern Okhotsk Sea, off Cape Patience, Sakhalin Island, 48°36'10"N, 145°17'30"E, Albatross station 5026, depth 119 fathoms.

Etymology: The specific epithet is derived from the Latin rastrum, meaning “rake”, likely a reference to the dense covering of cactus-like prickles on the types.
