- Holotype: CZACC 1.189 (formerly IB 6501), adult ♂, skin, skull and mandibule, collected by researchers of Instituto de Biología in May 1969.
- Type locality: “zona de los canales en la parte central de Cayo Fragoso”, Villa Clara Province, Cuba.
