Capoeta ekmekciae Turan, Kottelat, Kirankaya & Engin, 2006

Type locality: Çoruh River, Borçka, 30 kilometers north of Artvin, 41°22'N, 41°41'E, Artvin Province, Turkey.

Etymology: in honor of F. Güler Ekmekçi, for her contribution (e.g., help with fieldwork) to the authors’ research on the fishes of Anatolia. (From The ETYFish project)
