- Holotype: ZFMK 88935, adult ♂, collected by Peter Geissler on 10 May 2009.
- Type locality: “Vietnam, Dong Nai Province, Cat Tien National Park (11°38'04" N 107°27'24" E), 104 m elevation”.
- Etymology: Named after Rike Bach (Bonn), in gratitude for supporting the second author (Peter Geissler) during several fieldtrips in Indochina.
