Cabillus nigrostigmus Kovačić & Bogorodsky, 2013

  • Holotype: PMR VP2846.
  • Paratypes: PMR VP3046.

Type locality: Red Sea, Sharm el Sheikh, Sharm el Moya Bay, 34°17'30.94"N, 27°51'30.21"E [sic!] [1], but probably 27°51'30.21"N, 34°17'30.94"E [2].

Etymology: The specific name nigrostigmus is from the Latin in reference to the distinctive black mark in the lower posterior of the first dorsal fin.
