Bryconamericus bucayensis Román-Valencia et al., 2013

  • Holotype: MEPN 11125.
  • Paratypes: IUQ 3143 (1C&S); MEPN 59236 (6), 11126 (5), 9847 (18), 5980 (14), 6029 (3).

Type locality: Ecuador, Guayas, Rio Bucay 3 km upstream from bride on Naranjal–Machala road, 79º42'31"W, 02º39'45"S [1], 80 m a.s.l.

Etymology: Bryconamericus bucayensis is named after the Rio Bucaya, where the type series was collected.
