Type locality: Mexico: Colima, Mpio. Tecoman.

Neotype: CNAN. male ♂. 05.XII.2013. legit D. Barrales, G. Contreras, D. Ortiz. CNAN-T0900. (neotype designated by Mendoza Marroquín & Francke, 2017: 167)

Note:

• The type specimens were never deposited in a museum and, according to the authors (pers. comm.), and to MNHNP curator Christine Rollard, they are lost.
