Type locality: "near Represa de Santa Rita (= Santa Rita Dam Site), Departamento de Antioquia, Colombia. This site is between Guatapé and San Rafael at about 75° 7´ W, 6° 17´ N, ca. 16 km by road NE of Guatapé... Elevation about 1930 m (6330 ft.)".
Holotype: LACM 64601.
