Betta brownorum Witte & Schmidt, 1992

Holotype: ZSM 28090. Paratypes: KEW (K.E. Witte's coll.) 449 (3, 2 c&s), 1158 (1, c&s); ZSM 28091 (1), 28092 (2, c&s, missing). Type catalog: Neumann 2011:272.

Type locality: Small peat swamp forest, 2.55 kilometers south of Batang Rejang ferry on road from Sibu to Kuching, 3rd Division, Sarawak, East Malaysia, 2°08'N, 112°00'30"E.
